Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, similarly urged residents to maintain peaceful conduct in the coming governorship election, even as he asked them to vote for candidates of their choices.
Davido advised voters to remain at their polling units after voting to ensure every lawful vote is counted, while cautioning against violence before, during and after the election.
“I want everyone to come out en masse and vote for the candidate of your choice. Stay back and protect your vote, but do so peacefully. Don’t fight anybody. Let your vote speak for you,” he said.
The inauguration attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, government officials, party supporters and residents who described the completion of the flyover as another monument Adeleke’s administration will be remembered for.
