The song’s dominance comes about four weeks after the World Cup final, which took place on 19 July at the venue in New Jersey, United States.
Shakira and Burna Boy first introduced “Dai Dai” to the world during the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City. They later performed it again during the half-time show of the final match.
Since first hitting number one on the Billboard Global 200 in mid July, the anthem has managed to hold its ground even after the tournament ended.
For Burna Boy, this is a career first his debut number one on the Billboard Global 200. The achievement adds another major international credit to the Nigerian artiste’s growing profile.
