The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, says the party will keep its campaign promises and work to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Yari spoke in Abuja after receiving a warm welcome from supporters following his return from an overseas trip.
Asked how he felt about his appointment and the reception by supporters nationwide, Yari said he was honoured by the confidence placed in him by President Tinubu.
“I feel honoured. I feel honoured by this trust from Mr President. And, Insha Allah, I’ll do my best to ensure that we cross the bridge,” he said.
He said the current celebrations were only the beginning, stressing that the real jubilation would come after the 2027 election. “Today, everything is for the jubilation. Jubilation comes in January when we deliver.”
Yari urged APC supporters to unite behind Tinubu and pray for the success of the campaign council.

“This moment is for all of us to come together to ensure that we are doing one thing. That one thing is Bola Tinubu.” Yari emphasised.
On what Nigerians should expect from the APC, Yari pledged that the party would remain faithful to its manifesto and campaign commitments.
“Whatever we stated during the campaign, to keep to our manifesto, to keep to our promises, because the election is not for today.”
The former Zamfara State governor said the APC believes Tinubu would secure another term in office in 2027.
Yari also expressed confidence that the APC would remain Nigeria’s governing party beyond Tinubu’s second term.
“We are praying for the party to continue reigning after Tinubu as the party that will lead the country.”
He said the party’s commitment to keeping its word would be central to its campaign, while praying for divine wisdom for President Tinubu to lead the country and fulfil the promises made to Nigerians.
