Gunmen invade Jos Community in fresh attacks

Suspected bandits have attacked the Yelwa Zangam Community behind tge university of Jos killing 35 people.

The attack began around 8pm with the assailants shooting anyone in sight. They had destroyed the Bridge linking the area preventing help from reaching those in need.

The Yelwa Community boarders the University of Jos students’ village though no student was hurt in this attack. A number of the students were evacuated by their local or state governments especially students from.outside the state while parents also took their children home after the university authorities suspended academic activities.

The attack happened during curfew hours imposed to last from 6am to 6pm everyday by the Plateau state government along at the point Governor Simon Lalong is considering relaxing the curfew.

Security operatives have gained access to the area and restored normalcy in as much as tension is now high in the state especially communities that boarder Yelwa Zangam and neighbouring local government areas.
