Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has pledged to strengthen partnership with Kannywood and creative industry stakeholders to advance the ‘Tripple for Renewed Hope Agenda’ through youth empowerment, job creation and cultural promotion.
Governor Yusuf made the commitment when he received the leadership and members of Tripple for Renewed Hope at the Coronation Hall in Kano.
The governor said his administration would continue to support singers, filmmakers, actors and other creative professionals by creating an enabling environment for them to develop their talents and become economically self-reliant.

He described the creative industry as a major avenue for empowering young people, creating jobs and projecting Kano’s rich cultural heritage.
Governor Yusuf assured Kannywood practitioners that the state government would strengthen its partnership with the industry and support initiatives capable of creating sustainable opportunities for artists and other professionals.

He also urged practitioners to use their platforms responsibly to promote peace, unity, development and a positive image of Kano State.
Speaking during the engagement, popular Hausa singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, described Governor Yusuf as a patient and hardworking leader committed to transforming the state.
Rarara commended the governor for his efforts in developing Kano and for recognising the role of Kannywood and the wider creative industry in the state’s socio-economic development.
Also speaking, Kano State APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, expressed confidence that the party would secure a landslide victory in the 2027 general election.
Doguwa said the APC remained committed to ensuring a peaceful, credible and hitch-free election, while urging party members and supporters to remain united and focused on consolidating the achievements of the APC-led administrations.
The engagement underscored the Kano State Government’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Kannywood and other creative-sector stakeholders to promote economic empowerment, cultural development and the Kano First Agenda.
