The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr Nonye Soludo, has been selected for the 2026 National Leadership Conference Award for Excellence in Social Impact Leadership.
Her selection was conveyed in a notification letter signed by Linus Okorie, Chief Executive Officer of the GOTNI Leadership Centre.
The letter said the award was in recognition of Soludo’s leadership and contribution to social and community development in Nigeria.
The organisers said she was selected alongside other leaders “who are shaping the future and redefining what is possible.”
The letter further stated: “Your recognition is based on your leadership and contribution.”
The National Leadership Conference is scheduled for September 18 and 19 at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, with the theme, “The Leadership Advantage: Aligning Vision, Driving Action and Delivering Results.”
The NLC Secretariat congratulated Soludo on the recognition and said it was “ready to honour her and celebrate her achievements at the conference.”
The selection follows activities under the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, which focuses on preventive healthcare, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, maternal and child wellbeing, environmental sanitation and healthy lifestyle practices across Anambra State.
The initiative has supported health screenings, public health awareness campaigns, nutrition interventions for children, distribution of menstrual hygiene products to schoolgirls and community-based health activities across the state’s 21 local government areas.
The latest recognition comes after Soludo recently received the BudgIT Health Activism Award for her work through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, particularly in preventive healthcare and community wellness.
The award is scheduled to be presented during the Abuja conference, where recipients will be recognised for their contributions to leadership and societal development, according to the conference organisers.
