Deputy Speaker Kalu Mourns Air Crash Victims

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has mourned the victims of the military aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria, on Monday.

In a condolence message, Mr. Kalu commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria; the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke; the officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force; and the victims’ families.

He described the incident as a national tragedy and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

While calling for a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the crash, the Deputy Speaker pledged the support of the Parliament in strengthening measures to prevent future air disasters.

Mr. Kalu prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
