Customer Service Week: Galaxy Backbone Pledges Improved Services

By Othniel Canice, Abuja

Galaxy Backbone Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery and strengthening customer relationships as part of efforts to advance Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, gave the assurance during the organisation’s celebration of Customer Service Week 2026, themed, “Going the Extra Mile”.

The celebration, which featured a breakfast meeting with customers and partners, provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share feedback, discuss service delivery challenges and explore ways to improve customer experience.

Adeyanju thanked customers for their trust, patronage and constructive feedback, describing customer service as a continuous commitment that requires responsiveness, dedication and prompt resolution of complaints.

He said going the extra mile extended beyond providing technology and infrastructure to ensuring that customers’ concerns were addressed effectively.

According to him, the commitment was demonstrated by engineers who worked beyond official hours to resolve technical issues, operations teams that maintained services overnight and employees who ensured the security, reliability and availability of the organisation’s infrastructure.

He noted that customer feedback over the past three years had helped shape the organisation’s growth and service delivery priorities.

“Without feedback, there wouldn’t be improvement; both commendations and criticisms are essential to identifying gaps and implementing practical solutions,” he said.

Adeyanju urged customers to continue reporting and escalating service-related issues, stressing that timely communication would help the organisation identify problems, prioritise interventions and provide effective solutions.

He pledged that Galaxy Backbone would sustain efforts to improve its services and respond more effectively to customer needs.

Earlier, the Executive Director, Customer Centricity and Marketing, Galaxy Backbone, Olusegun Olulade, represented by the Group Head of Human Resources, Mr Olugbenga Omoniyi, described customer centricity as a core organisational value that must extend beyond the annual celebration.

He said technology, infrastructure and digital solutions could only deliver meaningful value when they addressed real problems and helped customers achieve their objectives.

Olulade appreciated ministries, departments and agencies of government, businesses and private institutions for their continued confidence in the organisation, noting that their feedback and expectations had encouraged innovation and service improvement.

He said the rapidly evolving digital environment required Galaxy Backbone to develop smarter solutions in connectivity, cloud services, data centre infrastructure, cybersecurity and capacity building.

“The digital environment is changing rapidly, and customer expectations are changing with age. This is why we are continually developing smart digital solutions across connectivity, cloud services, data centre infrastructure, cyber security and capacity building. Solutions designed in GBB are not simply to deploy technology but, most importantly, to solve problems and make it easier for our customers to achieve their objectives,” he said.

Olulade also highlighted the growing adoption of platforms such as GovMail, One Government Cloud and the Government Service Portal, describing them as important to Nigeria’s digital sovereignty, secure management of government digital assets and improved public service delivery.

While acknowledging that the organisation’s services were not perfect, he reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement through customer feedback, engagement and innovation.

He urged employees across the organisation to demonstrate professionalism, empathy and accountability while addressing customers’ concerns.

The celebration reaffirmed Galaxy Backbone’s commitment to strengthening customer partnerships and making customer satisfaction a continuous priority.
