Nigerian Breweries Launches 2026 Oktoberfest

Nigerian Breweries Plc has commenced its 2026 Oktoberfest celebrations, launching a month-long programme of music, football, fashion, and lifestyle events across major cities in Nigeria.

The nationwide campaign brings together the company’s major consumer brands-including Goldberg, Life Continental Beer, 33 Export, and Desperados-under one entertainment calendar designed to celebrate Nigeria’s vibrant social culture.

The festivities began on October 1 with Independence Day editions of the Big Weekend Xperience in Ibadan and Abuja.

The roadshow will continue in Sagamu, Jos, and Awka before moving to Ondo, Makurdi, and Owerri on October 11. It will then reach Lagos and Calabar on October 18, before wrapping up on October 25 with grand finale celebrations across Lagos, Kaduna, and Enugu.

High-energy lifestyle brand Desperados is set to bring its renowned Roadblock event to Abuja’s THISDAY Dome on October 17. Celebrated for its immersive Afro electronic dance experiences, the event will feature captivating visual storytelling, vibrant lighting, and cutting-edge stage production.

The Abuja edition is expected to welcome more than 8,000 music enthusiasts, with performances from leading DJs such as Spinall, DJ Dimple Nipple, DJ Big N, and notable Abuja-based talents.

The celebration will feature a series of branded activations across the country. Goldberg will headline the Big Weekend Xperience, while Life Continental Beer will host the Life Festival, combining music, entertainment, and cultural activities.

The programme will also include the Star Football Fan Festival, giving football enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy live matches, games, and fan-engagement activities. In addition, 33 Export will bring its electronic dance-music experience to selected locations, while Desperados will take its Roadshow activation to consumers in different cities.

According to Nigerian Breweries, the Oktoberfest programme is designed to offer consumers diverse entertainment experiences while strengthening connections with communities across Nigeria. The activities will take place throughout October, covering cities in the South-West, South-East, North-Central, Northern Nigeria, and the Federal Capital Territory.

The celebrations are part of Nigerian Breweries’ wider 2026 festive calendar, following the success of Big Fiesta and leading into the company’s Detty December programme.

Through the multi-city initiative, the brewer aims to turn October into a month-long celebration of music, culture, sport, and shared experiences.
