The Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reconcile their differences, close ranks and rally behind the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Uzodinma said that unity and collective responsibility are essential to the party’s electoral preparations.
Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Wednesday at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, Governor Uzodimma urged party leaders and members to set aside grievances arising from the primaries and work collectively to communicate the administration’s achievements to Nigerians.
“We must reconcile any differences we may have and rally as one family behind the party and all our candidates. We must speak to Nigerians as one family with one voice and one message,” he said.
The Governor maintained that President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms and development initiatives had provided the party with a record to present to Nigerians, citing the removal of petrol subsidy, exchange rate reforms and changes to the country’s tax system as major decisions taken to address longstanding economic challenges.
He acknowledged the difficulties Nigerians had experienced following the reforms but argued that emerging economic indicators, including improved growth figures and declining inflation, demonstrated progress.
He also highlighted interventions in education financing, consumer credit, conditional cash transfers, infrastructure development and grassroots economic empowerment as evidence of the administration’s efforts to improve living conditions.

According to him, reforms of such magnitude require sustained implementation to deliver their full benefits, making continuity in governance an important consideration ahead of the 2027 elections.
Governor Uzodimma urged President Tinubu to remain focused on governance while allowing party leaders and campaign officials to take responsibility for the demands of electioneering.
“The reforms you began need your full attention if they are to deliver everything they promise, and Nigerians will be better served by a President who keeps his hand firmly on the work of government than by one who is pulled away from it by the demands of electioneering. Please, Your Excellency, leave the heavy lifting of this campaign to us,” he said.
Outlining the campaign structure, the Governor explained that the Presidential Campaign Council would coordinate national strategy, while governors, legislators, local government chairmen, party executives and Renewed Hope Ambassadors would mobilise support across states, constituencies, local governments and polling units.
He stressed that the campaign must reach all 8,809 wards of the federation, with party representatives presenting the administration’s achievements and development priorities through facts that Nigerians could independently verify.
Governor Uzodimma reaffirmed the need for collective responsibility among party members, maintaining that no candidate’s success should come at the expense of another and urging every stakeholder to take personal responsibility for delivering their polling units and wards.
