Ebonyi: Ministry of Environment embarks on house to house inspection

To enhance neatness in Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria, the State’s Ministry of Environment has embarked on house to house inspection and has also intensified the waste evacuation network in every Street in the State.
The State Commissioner, Ministry of Environment, grants and Donor Agency, Dr Richard Nnabu disclosed this to Journalists in Abakaliki the State Capital.
Dr Nnabu said the efforts of the Ministry has helped in reducing the environmental related diseases in the State.
Nnabu warned those violating environmental laws to desist from it.
On the course of house to house inspection, the ministry has sealed some compounds that have violated some environmental laws, they have been charged to Court and Court has passed it judgement on them which they must fulfill to serve as deterant to others”
“Our environment must be kept clean if we must have a healthy living” Nnabu added.
Tree planting
The Commissioner said the Ministry was also planting trees across the state  for better health and to avoid ozone layer depletion.
He urged the general public to ensure environmental cleanliness as that is the only way to have good health.
