President Buhari Returns to Abuja after UNGA 76

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has returned to the nation’s capital Abuja, after spending seven days in New York, USA.

The President touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja at 04:20 GMT.

He was received by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello as well as the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba and heads of other security agencies.

While in New York, President Buhari participated in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where world leaders gathered to consider issues of global interest.

In his remarks, President Buhari assured the assembly that Nigeria was winning the war against terror and corruption, as he sought for equitable distribution of vaccines and cancellation of debts.
