Corps member donates four rooms public convenience to Dakwa community in FCT

A Four room public convenience has been donated to Dakwa community in Bwari Local Government Area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria by Mr. Vincent Chidera who is a Corps member with the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
Mr. Chidera who is a medical doctor said he was motivated by the desire to provide a solution to the health challenges facing residents of the community and also improve their standard of living.
He said prior to his donation, the indigent male residents of Dakwa community were pre-disposed to diseases because they defecated inside the gutters.
According to a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations of the NYSC, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi, the Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim in his remarks during the commissioning of the project today, lauded Corps Member Chidera for his immense contributions to the fight against Covid-19 last year.
He also thanked Dakwa community for providing conducive environment for Corps Members to render their services.
The Director-General appealed to other Corps Members to add value to their host communities, places of primary assignment and write their names in gold.
The Chief Medical Director of El-Hussaini Specialist Hospital Dei-Dei, where the project donor is serving, Dr. David Barau commended the National Youth Service Corps for sending Corps Members to the hospital to contribute to effective healthcare delivery for Members of the public.
He lauded the project donor for his compassion, confidence and character.
“We sincerely appreciate NYSC because this project would affect the lives of the beneficiaries in no small measure.
“Mr Vincent has combined compassion with character as a thorough-bred professional”, he said.
On behalf of residents of the community, Mr.Yahya Ajiya Dakwa commended the project donor and promised proper utilisation of the facility with regular maintenance of the public toilet.
