Nigeria’s governing party, the All progressive Congress, APC says that it is against any further increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit also known as fuel.

The APC’s National Caretaker committee secretary, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, stated this at an interactive session organized by the APC Professionals Forum at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Senator Akpanudoedehe explained that the position of the party on fuel price was made known during deliberations with a tripartite committee comprising the leadership of the National assembly, APC leaders and some key members of the executive arm of government.

The president is a listening president. Once you bring anything before him, he will take it with commitment. Another thing we have achieved recently is the issue of the pump price of petroleum. The party said no to it even though they have discussed it. It doesn’t matter the circumstances. The party said the time is not ripe. That is the position of the party. And they listen. We have tabled the matter” he said.

Senator Akpanudoedehe who said that President Buhari’s performance is better than past administrations added that even the grassroots are feeling the positive impact of the administration.

There have never been a government like this in the history of the nation. And I am not playing politics. Show me any government that has done much than President Buhari that has direct link with the masses.

”If you go to the villages, the camps are full with people taking their 20k from the PWF. Everywhere in Nigeria. The president has thrown his door open for everybody. It doesn’t matter which party you belong. In the days of PDP, it was not so. It is either PDP or nothing.

“The President allows everyone to key into his program. There is nothing you do in this life that the reward is not there” Akpanudoedehe said.
