Bauchi Governor casts vote, hails INEC on BVAS

The Governor of Bauchi State, northeast Nigeria, Sen Bala Mohammed has hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC on the use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System BVAS in the conduct of Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

The Governor gave the commendation after casting his ballot at polling unit 008 Bakin Dutse, Yelwan Duguri Model Primary School in Alkaleri Local Government Area.

Governor Bala called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to extend the effectiveness and transparency exhibited to the Gubernatorial and State Assembly Elections to consolidate the success recorded.

Addressing journalists after voting, the Governor commended the peaceful conduct of the election and hailed the people of the State for the large turnout in his hometown who waited patiently to exercise their franchise.

The Governor, therefore, expressed hope that PDP candidates would emerge victorious.

Voice of Nigeria gathered that the Governor and his wife Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed cast their votes at about 10:30am after following a successful accreditation process.
