The NGF described the attack as a grave violation of peace and security, noting that such violence, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, represents a profound affront to shared humanity and the sacred values of the season.

The Forum commended the prompt response of the Borno State Government, security agencies, and emergency responders, whose coordinated efforts helped limit further casualties.

It also praised Governor Zulum’s leadership and continued commitment to rebuilding the state amid ongoing security challenges.

Reaffirming its support, the NGF assured the Borno State Government of its solidarity during this difficult period and called for intensified efforts by security agencies to apprehend those responsible for the attack and prevent future occurrences.

The Forum stressed the need for stronger collaboration among sub-national governments to address security challenges nationwide, adding that Borno State’s resilience in the face of adversity remains commendable.
