Morocco’s Raja Casablanca will face Algeria’s JS Kabylie in the 2020-2021 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup final on Saturday, 10 July 2021 at Stade de L’Amitie, General Mathieu Kerekou in Cotonou Benin, scheduled to kickoff at 19:00 GMT.

This will be the first encounter between Raja Casablanca and JS Kabylie in the CAF Confederation Cup. The Algerian team have never won against Moroccan opposition in the competition (D2 L2), failing to score in each of these four encounters.

Raja Casablanca will play their second CAF Confederation Cup final after 2018 (winners against AS Vita Club), becoming the sixth team to reach this stage of the competition multiple times since it began in 2004.

CS Sfaxien (4), Étoile du Sahel (3), TP Mazembe (3), FAR Rabat (2) and RS Berkane (2) have reached the final multiple times.

JS Kabylie are the third Algerian team to reach the CAF Confederation Cup final since its creation in 2004, after ES Sétif in 2009 (runners-up against Stade Malien) and MO Bejaia in 2016 (runners-up against TP Mazembe).

Algeria could be the first country to have teams play in as many as three finals in the competition and never win one.

Raja Casablanca (W7 D3) and JS Kabylie (W6 D4) are the only two sides to remain undefeated in the CAF Confederation Cup 2020-2021 season.

The final will be held at the Stade de L’Amitie, General Mathieu Kerekou in Cotonou, Benin.

Besides the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Trophy, the winners will get the prize money of 1.25 million US Dollars. The winners will also have a place in the 2021 CAF Super Cup where they will face the winners of the 2020-2021 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.

Five substitutions for each team will be allowed, with nine players on the bench. If the 90 minutes of regular time end in a draw, 30 minutes of extra-time will be played. An extra substitution is allowed in extra-time.

If there is no winner after the extra-time, a penalty shootout will take place to determine the winners. The video assistant referee (VAR) system will be used in the final.
