Ebonyi SEMA distributes relief materials to IDPs

In a bid to cushion the negative effect caused by the communal crisis between Ezza Effium and Effium communities, Ebonyi State State Emergency Management Agency (EB-SEMA) has embarked on distribution of relief materials Worth millions of Naira.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Ken Oziomaeze stated this during the distribution ceremony in Abakaliki the state capital.
Dr Oziomaeze condemned the action of the Warring communities and called for lasting peace in the area.
The Executive Secretary said the aftermath of crisis is always untold hardship.He advised them to eschew crisis by all means and maintain peace by all times.
“The items here which consists of bags of rice, beans, garri, seasoning, salt, noodles and cooking oil etc are given today as support to the internally Displaced Persons IDPs who are in one way or the other affected by the crisis”. He said.
He called on the leaders from two communities to come together to settle the dispute amicably.
One of the Victims, Mrs Nwafor Vera on behalf of the Internally Displaced Persons IDPs thanked the Agency for coming to their aid in this hard time of their lives.
Mr Nwafor urged wealthy individuals to come and further support the affected persons.
