At the end of Wednesday’s trading, the equities market advanced by 0.14% to 40,221.30 points,which is 56.34 points higher than Tuesday’s 40,164.86 points.
The market capitalisation also gained N29 billion to close at N21.043 trillion.
The Exchange on Wednesday recorded equal number of gainers and losers at 20 each.
Trading activity was upbeat as a total of 469.5 million shares exchanged hands in 5,470 deals with a share value of N7.8 billion.
The top three gainers for the day were Oando with 31k gain to close at N3.41 k,ABCTransport with 3k gain to close at N3.41k and Japaulgoldwhich gained 6k to close at 71k.
Lasaco on the other hand led the losers chart after loosing 13k to close at N1.24k, followed by chiplc with a loss of 3k to close at 33k and Cornest with a 5k loss to close at 59k.
Zenith bank had the highest volume of trade of 154.621 million shares worth N4.09 billion and it was followed by Guaranty bank with 48.795 million shares valued at N1.52 billion.
