Ebonyi State Governor, Engineer David Umahi has flagged off Ebonyi youth summit saying youths patriotism and hardworking would enhance the political, economic, social and cultural growth in Nigeria
Governor Umahi stated this during the opening ceremony of post EndSars youths summits in Abakaliki the state capital.
Umahi said the program was organized to discuss with the youths on best method to use in moving Nigeria forward.
“The essence of this summit is for the stakeholders to talk to the youths and the youths to talk to themselves as well”. Umahi said.
The former Governor of the State, Chief Martin Elechi said the youth must prepare to assume their leadership position tommorow.
“This type of summit is a rare one, you must take it serious to decide on how Nigeria should be moved forward”. Elechi said.
The Chairman Organising Committee of the summit, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze advised the youth to participate very well in the summit saying that the best among them would be selected to represent Ebonyi at the National level.
He advised the youth to always get something doing in order to keep themselves busy.
” A man can be blessed when you have something doing, from there, your salvation comes”. Eze added.
On his part, the senior Pastor of dominion City Church, Reverend Ogbueli David advised the Government to always develope the youth before empowering them.
“Empowering the youth without developing them is not a good idea”. Ogbueli said.
Pastor Ogbueli called on Nigeria youths to find the area where they can major and establish themselves.
One of the resource persons Mr Joe Abah said Government must give the youth a place to stand so that they can move the world.
