The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) says the return journey for Nigerian pilgrims from the 2025 Hajj will begin on June 9, 2025.

NAHCON announced in a statement via their social media handle on Friday.

According to NAHCON, the first return flights will carry pilgrims from Imo State with Air Peace, Bauchi State with Max Air, Kebbi and Sokoto States with Flynas.

The commission urged the first batch of pilgrims to be prepared and ready for departure while also praying for a smooth return operation for all. “We pray for a smooth return leg operation for all our pilgrims.”

The announcement comes as part of broader efforts to ensure that the 2025 Hajj ends on a high note, maintaining NAHCON’s commitment to serving the pilgrims with excellence and reverence.

Furthermore, NAHCON has expressed deep appreciation to Nigerian pilgrims, stakeholders and government officials for their cooperation and dedication during this year’s Hajj exercise.

Speaking on the success of the Hajj so far, NAHCON acknowledged the “remarkable patience and discipline” displayed by Nigerian pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage. “Their conduct has been commendable and has made NAHCON’s job significantly easier,” the commission stated.
