The International Press Institute (IPI) has unveiled a new visual identity, marking its most comprehensive rebranding in more than 30 years.

The update includes a redesigned logo, a refreshed colour palette, an improved website interface, and modernised typography across platforms.

The organisation said the new identity was introduced at the 2025 IPI World Congress and Media Innovation Festival in Vienna and is aimed at strengthening its communication and engagement in a rapidly evolving digital media landscape.

IPI Executive Director, Scott Griffen, said the changes would support the institute’s efforts to expand its reach and enhance advocacy for press freedom.

The institute also introduced an updated website structure, including a tagging system to improve access to content on issues such as media capture, innovation, and climate journalism.

Founded in 1950, IPI is a global network that promotes press freedom and independent journalism. The organization said its mission remains unchanged, despite the rebranding.
