Kaduna state begins development of Green Economic Zone

Kaduna State government has taken further steps to actualise its green ecomic zone project as it signs a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with a private firm.

The Deputy Governor of the State, Hadiza Balarabe shortly after signing the agreement pledged that the partnership with the firm known as KK Kingdom would consolidate the efforts of the state government in establishing collaboration and solidifying partnerships in its development activities.

Hadiza further explained that the proposed partnership will add value to the state government’s desire to have an integrated industrial park that will attract investment into the state.

In his remarks, the President of the firm, Khalifa Abdullahi explained that the green economic zone will cover eighteen kilometres road and situated at Kaduna – Jos road in Maraban Jos.

He disclosed that the project will be concluded within the period of two years.

Abdullahi added that based on their agreement, the firm would provide infrastructure such as modern technologies, access roads, electricity, water treatment plants among others.
