The Monarch stated this during a courtesy visit by the NHIA Coordinator in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Alhassan.

We will fully mobilise our people to actively participate in the scheme to ensure effective healthcare delivery in the rural areas,” he said.

The royal father praised the Coordinator for the visit and assured him of his council’s support for maximum benefit of the people.

Alhassan said he was in the palace to solicit royal blessings and support towards enlightening the people to mobilise participation in the scheme.

He said that “the people in this part of the country were being left behind in benefitting from the scheme which Government plans to cover 83 million vulnerable Nigerians through the vulnerable fund.”

The NHIA, he said, also initiated GIFSHIP programme to cover Nigerians at affordable cost, stressing that the scheme with Roche Products Limited cost-sharing partnership contributed to fight against Cancer disease.

He said that Roche foundation contributed 50% while NHIS and patients would contribute 30% and 20% respectively.
