The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has confirmed Alhaji Yusuf Yakubu Esq as a member of State Judicial Service Commission.
The Speaker of the House, Balarabe Abdullahi, announced the confirmation after the nominee appeared for screening and confirmation during the House proceedings at the State Assembly Complex in Lafia the State capital.
Abdullahi said that the confirmation of Yakubu followed his track records when he served for his first term as a member of the Commission.
“Alhaji Yusuf Yakubu Esq, to the best of our knowledge, has served diligently as a member of the Commission between 2015 and 2021.
“He has appeared before this House for screening and he was screened and confirmed by the House.
“He served the Commission diligently and he performed his duties well.
“His nomination is hereby approved as member, Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission,” he said.
The motion for the confirmation of Yakubu as a member of Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission was moved by the Majority Leader of the House, Tanko Tunga and seconded by Abel Bala.
The House unanimously screened and confirmed Yakubu as a member of the Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission.
The speaker directed the clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the House resolution for Governor Sule’s next line of action.
