New Year: Bishop Adewole preaches peace

The Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt Rev. Sunday Adewole, has preached on the need to forget about the past and move on.

 

The Clergyman made the call in his new year message at Saints Barnabas Cathedral Ilorin, Kwara State, North Central Nigeria.

 

He said “Stop nursing your failure, drop the failure where you fail, move on, forget about yesterday failure” he said

 

Bishop Adewole who spoke on the theme ‘Following God’s leading’, stressed the need to increase fellowship with God.

 

“Cultivate the habit of praying every morning and night, cultivate the habit of thanking God for everything, show mercy to people that are in distress as many as you can without asking, you need to appreciate God for everything.”

 

“Don’t be lazy. God will bless the work of your hand, don’t put the horse before the cat, find something doing take step, move. God has not made a man to be destitute but circumstances lead man to that” the clergyman said.

 

He also expressed optimism that the year would be a year of total freedom and breakthrough.
