President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep distress over the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, ordering the security agencies swift rescue Operation.
In a message shared on the official X handle of the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada @Dolusegun, President Tinubu said he was “depressed” by the tragic death of Brigadier General Musa Uba and other officers who were killed in the line of duty.
President Tinubu also condemned the kidnapping of the schoolgirls, noting that “heartless terrorists have disrupted the education of innocent schoolgirls.”
He said; “As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I am depressed with the tragic death of our soldiers and officers on active duty. May God comfort the families of Brigadier General Musa Uba and other fallen heroes.
“I am also depressed that heartless terrorists have disrupted the education of innocent schoolgirls. I have directed the security agencies to act swiftly and bring the girls back to Kebbi State.” President Tinubu said.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to defeating terrorism and safeguarding communities across the country.
