NPFL: Gombe United, Nasarawa Secure Wins

The two remaining games of Matchday 9 of the Nigeria Premier Football League held on Monday with Nasarawa United defeating Remo Stars 2-0 while the game between Gombe United and Plateau United was a thriller as it produced 5 goals.

In Jos, Nasarawa United defeated Remo Stars 2-0 with goals from John Joshua in the 8th minute and Emmanuel Ogbole in the 47th minute.

Annayor Ogbona put Gombe ahead in the 12th minute before Albert Hilary equalised six minutes later.

Rahman Olarenwaju restored the host lead in the 27th minute but Moses Adukwu was on hand to put Plateau United at par again in the 47th.

Mahanadou Souley’s 95th-minute penalty sealed the game for Gombe United and earned the maximum points
