PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate Tells Electoral Body Not To Disappoint Nigerians

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Cross River State, Mrs Emana Ambrose-Amahwe has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC not disappoint Nigerians in the ongoing Governorship election.

Ambrose-Amahwe made the call at her polling unit in Government Primary School Esuk Mba in Akpabuyo Local Government Area, of Cross River State after she had cast her vote.x

Epressing happiness with the smooth process of the ongoing election, she said it should be replicated across the state.

Ambrose-Amahwe said; “We expect INEC to follow due delligence and hold themselves by the creed they stand by which is that people’s votes count.

“INEC should not disappoint the state so that confidence can be restored in the system.

“So far, the weather is clement, people have turned out early here and things are alright, the BIVAS are working and hopefully this should be sustained across the state.”

According to her, though her Ward has been penned down as a flash point, she however  advised the electorates to be bold enough to come out and cast their votes.

The PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate frowned at vote buying and forcing people to vote against their wishes.

She stressed that the agents are expected to act appropriately, expressed optimising that things would go in her favour.
