President Muhammadu Buhari is on his way back to Abuja after conclusion of the gubernatorial election.
He departed Katsina airport on Monday morning at about 10:35 GMT.
Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari was at the airport to bid farewell to the President.
Also present were some members of the State Executive Council and stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Nigerian Leader had arrived his home State of Katsina on Friday and cast his vote in the governorship and State Assembly election on Saturday.
He was accompanied by his son Yusuf, some members of the first family and personal aides.
