Revelation Cup: Super Falcons Prepare For Mexico Clash

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will begin its campaign at the four-Nation Women’s Revelation Cup Tournament against hosts, Mexico on Wednesday.

The tournament will take place between February 15th – 21st in Leon, Guanajuato in Mexico. The Super Falcons arrived in Mexico on Monday and have trained ahead of the clash against the hosts.

The clash between Mexico and the nine-time African champions Nigeria will kick-off at 4 pm local time (10 pm Nigerian time) on Wednesday, three hours after the opening match between Costa Rica and Colombia.

The Super Falcons will then face off against Colombia On Saturday, 18th February, at 1 pm Mexico time (7pm Nigerian time). Costa Rica will be Nigeria’s last opponent, with both teams set to kick off at 5 pm Mexico time (11 pm Nigeria time) on Tuesday 21st February.

Mexico will then take on Colombia to conclude the tournament.

Nigeria, along with hosts Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia are all making preparations for the 9th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand this summer.

Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum shared a few words ahead of the clash with Mexico.

At the World Cup, Nigeria will be up against co-hosts Australia, Olympic champions Canada and debutants the Republic of Ireland.
