U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday called on Iran to reach a deal over its nuclear program, warning that further conflict with Israel could be avoided if action is taken swiftly.

“There has already been great death and destruction,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, “but there is still time to stop this slaughter, especially as even more brutal attacks are being planned.”

His statement came just hours after Israel launched a wave of strikes on Iran
