‘You must rise above obstacles to succeed’ – AY
Nigeria’s top comedian Richard Ayodeji Makun a.k.a. AY has said rising to the top and staying there requires determination, creativity and boldness.
He said in the light of economic and social challenges, young Nigerians must be willing to make huge sacrifices to excel in any chosen endeavour.
The comedian/actor said not even failure could stop the younger generation from making their mark on society – as long as they stayed focused.
AY used his Instagram handle to make his thoughts known.
“No matter how many times you fall, find a way to rise above the obstacles and stand tall. Stretch yourself once more. Rise up from the ground, roll the ball and be hopeful you will score!”
The multi-award winner hosts AY Live, one of Africa’s biggest comedy shows.
He is also the producer of popular sitcom AY’s crib.
