The reolve by Team Nasarawa to make a positive impact at the 2020 National Sports Festival holding in Benin City, Edo State, has begun to yield results as Ihuo Louisa on Tuesday won a bronze medal in the women’s Taekwondo-49kg category.
Louisa defeated her Delta State counterpart, Sekinat Adebayo to clinch the medal.
Team Nasarawa is participating in the ongoing Sports Festival which began on April 2, 2021 after suffering series of postponements in the past owing to the outbreak of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
With a 210-member contingent on the trip, Nasarawa State is participating in 25 sporting events, 24 of which are individual sports while Basketball, the women’s category, is the only team sport.
