The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has secured operational licences from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health for its clinics and medical outposts established for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The approval, received on Monday, authorises NAHCON medical teams to commence healthcare services for pilgrims in the Kingdom.

The clinics will provide primary healthcare services, including medical consultations, first aid, and treatment of minor ailments, while cases requiring specialised care will be referred to accredited Saudi hospitals, including King Fahd Hospital.

NAHCON stated that pilgrims seeking treatment at its clinics must present their Nusuk Card and international passport for identification and documentation.

The Commission also confirmed that its Madinah clinic has been operational for the past four days, attending to Nigerian pilgrims in the city.

The licensed facilities are located in the Shara Sittin, Misfalah, and Mansour Street areas of Makkah.

NAHCON described the development as a major milestone in its 2026 Hajj operations and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
