COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 1,340 new cases

Nigeria has recorded 1,340 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 136,030.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.

According to the tweet, the 1,303 new cases were from 22 states. the nation’s Federal Capital Territory, FCT reported the highest number of cases with 320 new cases while Lagos was second with 275 and Sokoto State had the lowest with 3 new cases.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, discharges on Thursday, February 4, include 824 recoveries in Lagos State, 448 in the FCT and 142 in Plateau State.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 4 February, 136,030 cases had been confirmed, 110,449 cases treated and discharged, while 1,632 deaths were recorded.
