FCT Pilgrim Board Sets 2027 Hajj Fare at N7.7m

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has fixed the 2027 Hajj fare at N7,672,822 for intending pilgrims who wish to perform the pilgrimage through the Board.

The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, disclosed this in Abuja in a statement signed by the Board’s Chief Information Officer, Ahmad Saleh, and made available to journalists. Edah said the fare was in line with the recent announcement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He said intending pilgrims who had earlier deposited a minimum of N7.5 million or less with the Board should now pay their outstanding balances accordingly.

According to him, the balance must be paid through a bank draft payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Abuja, from any commercial bank, on or before 25 September 2026, which is the stipulated closing date for the registration exercise.

The Director also advised intending pilgrims who had not submitted their international passports to the Board’s officials to do so immediately or risk forfeiting their Hajj slots.

He explained that the international passports must be valid until October 2027 and accompanied by a photocopy of the National Identification Number (NIN) slip, four recent passport photographs and a duly completed guarantor’s form, among other requirements.

Edah reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of FCT pilgrims through timely airlifting, suitable accommodation and quality meals throughout the pilgrimage.
