The Chairman, Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, (SKCLA), Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Kure, has urged electorates in the region not to vote along religious or ethnic line.

Apostle Kure stated this during the 21st Southern Kaduna prayer summit held at the Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government area of Kaduna State.

He encouraged the people of Southern Kaduna to vote only people that understand the land and how to solve its problems and not those that don’t have their interest at heart.

The Apostle appealed to sons and daughters of Southern Kaduna who are seeking elective offices but know that their parties cannot win to merge or align their aspirations with the party that could win to avoid splitting their votes.

The Chairman prayed that whoever wins the 2023 general elections will be bonded with the Southern Kaduna and be ready to be fair in the distribution of positions.

Talking on the insecurity affecting the region, the Chairman called on the attackers to lay down their arms for discussions that will bring an end to the loss of lives and property.

Apostle Kure explained that the essence of the prayer summit was to unite the people through prayers for the restoration of the land having spent three years without a formal gathering to pray due to COVID-19.

Earlier, the guest speaker, Rev. Jacob Kwashi, warned those liaising with evil to attack and cause trouble in the land, to repent or be consumed by the wrath of God.

He urged the people of the land to forget the past and all the evil accompanied by it and write a new chapter in their lives going forward.
