The All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential Candidate’s son, Seyi Tinubu, has appealed to the Anambra State electorate to cast their votes for his father,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ,in the forthcoming February 25 2023 general elections.

Seyi Tinubu who was in Anambra, on Tuesday, to canvass for votes for his father is said to be married to an Igbo lady.

He was conferred with a Chieftancy title of Nwannedinamba( brother /sister in a strange land) by the traditional ruler of the Mbaukwu kingdom, Igwe Peter Anukwui, in the Awka South Local Government Area of the state.

The son of the APC standard bearer called on people of the Southeast zone not to vote against the party in 2023, as they did in 2015 and 2019, when they supported the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and ended up losing out in the central government.

He said: “Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the experience, tolerance and capacity to change the fortunes of Nigeria for the best.

“Everyone has acknowledged that his core strength is his vision for peace, progress and economic development.

He also has a penchant for discovering, nurturing and empowering talent. Testimonies abound across Nigeria, Igbos, Yorubas, Fulanis, Efiks, Ibibios, Hausas and all the other tribes.”

“So I am appealing to Ndi-Anambra(Anambra people) and the Igbo region at large to vote for my father because I married an Igbo lady, Chinwe Layal.

Seyi, who had earlier paid a courtesy call on Governor Chukwuma Soludo, explained that his visit was to strike deal with stakeholders and youths in the state as it concerned the presidential election and to solicit the support of the Southeast people.

Recall that Anambra is the home state of Peter Obi, one of the strongest challengers of Tinubu in the forthcoming election.Obi was also a former governor of Anambra state.

Some APC officials accompanied Seyi on the visit.
