Nigeria Wins U-20 AFCON Fair Play Award
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria, who showed professionalism, dedication, passion and discipline during the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), have won the 2023 Fair Play award at the 23rd edition of the tournament in Egypt.
The CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) of the tournament named the Flying Eagles for the award after the conclusion of the tournament.

They were awarded the prize after the final between Senegal and Gambia at the Cairo International Stadium on Saturday night.
Ladan Bosso’s men won the third place play-off match against Tunisia on Friday in Cairo. The WAFU-B champions beat the Young Carthage Eagles 4-0 to win bronze

The Flying Eagles recovered from their semi-final defeat against The Gambia to hammer Tunisia in the Egyptian capital.
Nigeria will be one of four teams representing Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia later this year.
