The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak has approved the declaration of Friday 17th March, as a work-free day for all workers in the State.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the state Head of Service, Mrs Susan Oluwole.
The action of the governor according to the statement, is to give ample opportunity for workers to prepare and travel to their respective local governments and places of voting for the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections, slated for Saturday, 18th.
The statement advised workers to freely exercise their voting franchise and be law abiding, before, during and after the elections.
