Accreditation And Voting Commences In Oyo State

Accreditation and voting have commenced in all the pooling units visited in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Voice of Nigeria reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ad-hoc staff, arrived as early as a few minutes past 7 am in various Local Government Areas (LGAs) visited, including Lagelu, Ibadan North-East and Ibadan North.
Both sensitive and non-sensitive election materials were said to have arrived early enough at the polling units for the exercise to commence on time.
The polling units visited witnessed a large turn-out of voters who showed a lot of enthusiasm to cast their votes and perform their civic duty and also conducted themselves in an orderly manner.
There is security presence evident in all the polling booths and on the streets of all the LGAs.
Some of the polling units visited so far are Ward 5 Unit 1, Ikolaba High School and Ward 10 unit 26, Awolowo Junction, Bodija, in the Ibadan North Local Government Area; and also Ward 11 units 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Army Children’s School, Iwo Road, in the Ibadan North-East LGA.
