Abgu Kefas has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for the remarkable improvement in its electoral materials, especially the BVAS machine, which he said now works effectively when compared to the usage at the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Col. Kefas stated this while addressing Journalists in Wukari local government area of Taraba State after casting his vote.
He said during the Presidential and National Assembly elections many voters including himself were frustrated as the BVAS machine didn’t function effectively.
“I want to commend INEC for improving on the electoral materials, especially the BVAS. During the last Presidential and National Assembly elections when I came to vote, it took a long time before I got accredited, but today I did not spend one minute, I got accredited and I voted, so it means that there is an improvement.
“With this improvement, I believe at the end of the exercise we will have a free, fair and credible election,” he said.
He called on voters to come out en mass to exercise their franchise without any fear of violence.
