House To Send Delegation To The Late General Diya’s Family

The House of Representatives has resolved to send a condolence delegation to visit the family of the late former Nigerian Chief of General Staff, Gen Oladipo Diya.

This is Sequel to a motion of Urgent National Importance moved by Kolapo korede.

Ruling on the motion, the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila ruled that the there was the need to urgently send a delegation to the deceased home to condole with the family, in Lagos

The delegation is to be led by Peter Akpatason.

The House thereafter observed a minute silence in honour of General Diya.

He died in the early hours of Sunday, March 26th according to a statement on behalf of the family by Prince Oyesinmilola Diya.

The former Ogun Military Administrator was born on April 3, 1944.
