The Nasarawa state police command has presented cheques worth over thirty-six million naira to the families of deceased officers who died while in active service.
Presenting the cheques to the families, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Maiyaki Baba, urged them to use the money judiciously to better the lives of the families left behind.
The CP said the gesture was an initiative of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Usman Baba
“Family welfare scheme and Group Life Assurance aimed at improving the living standard of the families of Police operatives that lost their lives in the line of duty.”
The state Commissioner of Police, appreciated the Inspector-General of Police for the gesture, and pray for more of such gesture
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Amos Appolos appreciated the Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police for the gesture and promised to make good use of the money
