Governor Ganduje condoles with Emirs of Kano, Bichi on mother’s death

The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has offered his heartfelt condolences to the Emirs of Kano and Bichi over the demise of their mother, Maryam Ado Bayero who died last Saturday in Egypt
He described her death as an act of Allah which every mortal will test, saying, however, that her good deeds will remain in the minds of the people of Kano State.
He expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the government and people of Kano state to her dearest sons, the Emirs of Kano and Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero respectively.
In a commiseration message issued by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, the governor, who further described the deceased as a highly disciplined and honest mother who trained her children on the path of Allah, comforted the Emirs to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a good life, devoted to serving Allah and humanity.
Ganduje said her death at this time had created a vacuum difficult to be filled especially for her two sons who need most of her motherly guidance and counsel.
The Governor prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant the soul of the late princess Aljannah Firdausi and the fortitude for the family, the entire people of the two Emirates to bear the unbearable loss.
The late Maryam was wife to the late Emir Ado Bayero who reigned for over 50 years in Kano State
The deceased is a princess to the Ilorin kingdom in Kwara state and a mother to two emirs currently reigning in Kano and Bichi emirates Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and his junior brother Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero.
A statement from the Kano Emirate Council said the late Maryam passed away in the early hours of Saturday 24th April 2021 at a hospital in Cairo Egypt after a protracted illness.
The arrival of the remains and burial arrangements will be communicated later by the Kano Emirate Councill.
