“This move by the state government is historic. It brings quality healthcare closer to our people, especially women, children, and the elderly.

“We sincerely commend Radda for fulfilling his promise,” he said.

A civil servant, Mukhtar Rabe, noted that the upgrade would help decongest the General Hospital in Daura and reduce delays in referrals that had previously led to preventable deaths.

He also lauded Rabe-Musa for his persistent advocacy at the State Assembly.

Speaking to the Newsman, several residents expressed optimism that the upgraded facility would reduce emergency response time and improve outcomes for critical patients.

“Before now, we had to rush patients to Daura or Katsina in emergencies. With this upgrade, lives will be saved,” said Aliyu Ibrahim, a resident.

The report say  that the project is part of the governor’s broader health sector reform agenda, aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare services across the state.

Community leaders and residents also urged the government to ensure speedy implementation and the deployment of qualified medical personnel once the facility was completed.
