The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) has reaffirmed its role as a central force in driving impactful reforms through efficient and customer-focused service delivery.

Speaking at the opening of the 2025 SERVICOM Day Symposium held in Abuja Nigeria’s capital, as part of the Customer Service Week celebrations, the Director-General of BPE, Mr Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi stated that the Bureau is committed to ensuring that service delivery within Nigeria’s public sector aligns with global standards.

Mr Ariyo said; “With the theme, Reforming Responsibly Through Effective Service Delivery, this year’s focus has been carefully chosen to align with the national SERVICOM Customer Service Week theme: Mission Possible.

“For us at the Bureau, effective and efficient service delivery to our stakeholders is indeed our own ‘mission possible.’ Our stakeholders, and indeed every Nigerian, look up to the Bureau as one of the leaders of the economic reform agenda under the new mantra of the current administration.”

He explained that through various reforms and professional practices, the Bureau has positioned itself as a trusted knowledge hub for investors seeking opportunities in Nigeria.

“To deliver on this responsibly, the Bureau has consistently engaged development partners, the National Assembly, MDAs, the media, as well as both foreign and local investors, in our bold bid to grow the Nigerian economy towards the US$1 trillion GDP target, as envisaged by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“Every point of service interaction with us must leave a delightful and enduring impression,”he said.

Speaking on the theme of the symposium, Reforming Responsibly Through Effective Service Delivery, the Head of Operations at the SERVICOM Office, Mrs Ngozi Akinbodewa, urged the BPE to commit to service excellence, purposeful stakeholder engagement, and a post-compliance structure with penalties for erring parties.

According to her, service excellence within the Bureau would significantly impact national development.

She said; “For every public asset that we privatise, we want to ensure that it contributes meaningfully to national development in terms of outcomes.”

The event, which aligned with the national theme Mission Possible, emphasised that exceptional service delivery is both achievable and essential to national growth.
