President Tinubu Commends NIDCOM Boss for Dedication, Patriotism

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed appreciation for the dedication and patriotism demonstrated by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

President Tinubu encouraged Dabiri-Erewa to maintain her commitment to national service and to continue inspiring women and youth through commendable leadership.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga to Dabiri-Erewa on her birthday, the President noted that she has exemplified an abiding love for the nation and humanity by consistently prioritising the welfare and upliftment of the underprivileged throughout her distinguished career.

President Tinubu described the NIDCOM boss as ‘a passionate and diligent public servant whose foresight has greatly influenced the nation’s engagement with its citizens abroad. ‘

He commended her remarkable journey from journalism to public service beginning with her career at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), through her three consecutive tenures in the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2015, where she chaired the Committees on Media and Publicity, and on Diaspora Affairs.

The President acknowledged Dabiri-Erewa’s pivotal role in championing the cause of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora, particularly her relentless advocacy for social justice, national image building, and the mobilisation of Diaspora talents for national development in education, health, and sports.

He noted that “her numerous awards and recognitions are a testament to her years of dedicated service and contribution to national progress.”

President Tinubu wishes the NIDCOM boss good health, renewed strength, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
