President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the Sultan of Sokoto at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in a meeting that underscored his administration’s unwavering commitment to fostering interfaith harmony, mutual understanding, and national cohesion.
The engagement comes as Nigeria intensifies collaboration with key religious and traditional institutions to advance dialogue, strengthen social trust, and promote collective action in addressing national challenges.
The meeting also aligns with the government’s broader efforts to consolidate peace and deepen interfaith understanding as vital pillars of unity and stability across the country.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives,Tajudeen Abbas accompanied the Sultan to the ‘crucial’ meeting.
President Tinubu had this week met with the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama.
